Following the kanwarias...

IN the last visit to the Rishikesh, I thought of following the trail of Kanwarias… The kanwars are basically village folk who have a great faith and religious fervor. They are basically followers of the Lord Shiva. Its said in the Purana’s that when the sea was churned with Sheshnag as the rope with Meru Mountain as the churner, the first thing that came out of the sea churning was Halahal (Poison ) no one but Shiva could take that and keep it inside his Adams apple.
