With the group of Kanwarias...

On the way from Delhi I joined one team of people and went along with them to the Haridwar. Most of the village folk observe very strict religious rituals and its very much the norm to travel on foot. The whole high in these days are blocked for the Kanwarias and no other transportation is allowed on these roads. The very different types of kanwariyas travel with their own chanting groups and many have amplifiers and religious songs belting out of their make shift place of living sleeping and carrying cooking equipments.
